For Today - February 11, 2009 - Wednesday

Outside My Window...it is bright & sunny & windy but not as windy as last night! Whooeee! Between 11:30 & midnight it was REALLY windy with some rain and small hail! Fortunately it lasted no more than 20 minutes . . . but it was a harrowing 20 minutes!

I am thinking...I'm not ready for it to be Spring. It feels & looks like spring . . . we have NOT had enough cold weather to freeze out the fire ants & mosquitoes.

I am wondering....how I could have gone weeks w/out taking any real photos. I really do love that camera!

I am thankful for....today is another day. Bright, sunny, a day full of hope & "can do" attitude!

From the kitchen...grapefruit, oranges, Clementines, apples & cabbage. Lots of cabbage. Will have to make cole slaw for supper. And hot/spicy chicken. Don't know what else - but cole slaw & bar-b-que chicken sandwiches.

I am going...to make a couple of phone calls & sort through laundry/storage room "stuff". Some of the stuff does NOT need to be inside. I make homemade salsa, at most, once a year so there's no sense having 9 dozen canning jars INSIDE taking up valuable real estate space!

I am wearing...pink flannel pajamas.

I am reading...90 Minutes in Heaven

I am hoping...to make REAL progress today.

I am hearing...little birds chirping & storm door slamming in the wind.

Around the house….there's real disorder in the living room where so much of the laundry room stuff is resting while I decide where to put it.

One of my favorite things...is fresh flowers in the house. The daffodils, & crocuses are blooming. The photo above has them in the arrangement along w/lemon blossoms (I can't believe it's blooming this time of year), rosemary flowers & nandina berries. I'll go out today & pick some more to freshen the arrangement. Blue, yellow & white is such a cheery combination.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week....continue decluttering laundry room, burning T'giving CDs for Amanda & Christiy & myself. Burning Christmas CDs for Simon & myself. Mail Kevin's passport & other mail to him in Arizona.

Something you may not know about me...I have two pair of glasses. The ones made of titanium are the ones I wear at night while I watch TV, 'cause I most often fall asleep & am afraid of breaking the others. So - I really do sometimes sleep while wearing glasses! In that regard, I am my daddy's daughter!
